I find it to be a great living experience. The building is spacious. The staff is Professional yet friendly. The Management is helpful when needed. The hallways are hot during the summer. Lately there has been a lot of construction int the building however the front desk staff and management have been informative and accommodating.

This is a wonderful community with amazing staff and it makes for a very personal, safe and welcoming space to live. The building itself has huge open spaces and really interesting architecture and I most appreciate the community feel. I am extra grateful that my children have other kids to play with and it is incredibly convenient to Central Square, grocery stores, the library, the T and restaurants. A thoughtful investment in the playroom would make a significant difference for many residents (in terms of a good place to play for children, and increased quiet for other residents). I really hope there will be change there in the near future.

I love living in KBL because it is an unconventional building that is inhabited by an unconventional community. It feels like a small city within the city. I personally love the fact that residents and staff have the opportunity (if they like) to socialize a lot in the vast public spaces of KBL, or at the gym, the playroom. There is a strong sense of community, which makes KBL feel home. Almost all the apartments and the floor plans are unique. This adds a lot to the quality of the overall living experience, since every resident can have something unique in his own living space. During the 8 years we leave in KBL we rarely (maybe 4 or 5 times) had problems with noise, caused from other residents. I consider this an excellent performance, better from any apartment building I have been living in the past. The fact is that KBL apartments feel somehow distant form each other, separated by a generous amount of public space and thick walls. In any case, when there are problems a courteous team of security and concierge KBL employees takes care of them in proper time. So you never feel alone with your problem! Our kids love KBL. Kids develop strong friendships with other kids and with the staff members of KBL. There are special events like parties and movie screenings in which kids can socialize. And during the super cold January and February days, the kids can still have some quality play time, at the play room, or the laundry & entertainment area, or the gym, and stay protected from the cold. As I said KBL is not a typical apartment building. I think KBL offers a unique, friendly, high quality living experience in an area of the city that is super convenient (for many reasons) but not always super clean and cosy. So the existence of University Park and KBL specifically in this neighborhood of Cambridge, offers a service to the city as well. I personally love Central Square after all these years living here, and I would strongly recommend the KBL living experience to anyone looking for all the above living qualities.

The management staff, concierge staff, and the property maintenance staff have been a highlight of our tenure @ KBL...Collectively, we have been spoiled with their overall attention to our our needs as they arise. My wife and I always feel welcomed when we return to our apartment home @ KBL, and we are thankful for their attention especially during the last 18 months after my wife suffered a stroke and was hospitalized for nearly two months. The entire Forest City team was instrumental in preparing for and installing necessary safety amenities in preparation for her return to KBL ! My grandchildren really enjoy the annual Halloween Party coordinated by Concierge Richard Burke. Additionally I guess it is the little things like offering seasonal candy, fruit, bottled water etc. to the residents in the main lobby that create a community feel to the KBL living experience ! Recently, our apartment underwent an extensive HVAC replacement. The crews that performed the work were really professional and even though the two week process was at times annoying etc.....the work was completed on time and we sincerely felt that the work was performed well, and resulted in a much more efficient HVAC system. Overall, we are very satisfied with the high level of customer service @ KBL and would easily and confidently recommend living here to friends ! Thank-you for the opportunity ro commment ! .

I would highly recommend KBL. We find the property to be safe, quiet, clean, well maintained, and conveniently located. The residents I've met are friendly and considerate. The staff are knowledgeable and welcoming. Being new to Cambridge, we looked at many different rental properties before selecting KBL. We're glad we did!
